Yasimi Quaife’s story is one of tragedy, pain and suffering; surviving childhood sexual abuse, and living as a transgendered woman.
The truth of Yasimi's life was hidden on the pages of her diaries, which her sister, Mig found the day after her funeral.
"If something happens to me and I don't make it, I want these diaries published to help others," the 23-year-old wrote inside. In honour of her memory, Mig published these writings into a book, "This life: The diaries of Yasimi Quaife”. She shares her sisters story to give hope to others who might be going through what she did, with Hamish Coleman-Ross and psychotherapist Kyle MacDonald.
