Margaret Skipper survived a neglected childhood, turning to drugs as a young woman to cope with an upbringing that had a negative impact on her self-esteem and identity.
Her daughter inspired her to turn her life around and break from a 5-year meth addiction. She is now studying to become a social worker to help others facing the challenges she has overcome.
She talks with Hamish Coleman-Ross and psychotherapist Kyle MacDonald about how absence of connection, unconditional love and support can take us down dark pathways, and how discovering healthy connection can be literally life-saving.
