The Violent Side of a Laughing Samoan

The Violent Side of a Laughing Samoan

Early in their marriage of 25 years, comedian of The Laughing Samoans Eteuati Ete, began to act out violently towards his wife Mele Wendt. After he was convicted of assault, Ete decided to look at his behaviour and commit to making changes. The couple have now found a healthy balance in their relationship without violence and have begun speaking publicly about their challenges in the hope of helping others in similar situations. They share their story with Hamish Coleman-Ross and psychotherapist Kyle MacDonald, with thanks to NZ on Air.
