Walking Aotearoa for Happiness

Walking Aotearoa for Happiness

Teenager Lena Watt couldn’t understand why she felt so sad, tired and unmotivated all the time. Finally after four years of feeling “off” she was diagnosed with depression at age 16.

Lena and her mother Tamsin began looking for ways to help her, and after many failed attempts at remedies, found that walking made her feel a lot better. With this realisation, Lena and Tamsin decided to walk the length of New Zealand together not just to help Lena, but also to fundraise for I AM HOPE Mike King’s charity of which the Nutters Club is part.

They shares their journey of 3000kms and 6 pairs of shoes with Hamish Williams and psychotherapist Kyle MacDonald.
